It is a rich and tasty Indian and Pakistani dessert prepared with almonds and also one of my favorite halwa.
1 cup Almonds (soaked overnight, skin peeled and ground to paste)
1/4 cup ghee
1/4 cup sooji
1 teaspoon cardamom powder
2 cups sugar
1 cup water
In a pan, heat ghee and cook the almond paste on medium high till it turns pink. Add sooji and cook for 2 more minutes stirring continuously.
In a separate pan, dissolve sugar in hot water to make a sugar syrup.
Add sugar syrup to to the badam and sooji, mix it well.
Garnish it with cardamom powder and serve hot.
